Data Wipe
We will perform a destructive overwrite process or physical destruction of each hard drive received. If a hard drive cannot be wiped, the hard drive is removed and destroyed (physically punched) making data retrieval from the hard drive impossible. Restrictions on the Asset Processing Database make it compulsory for testers to confirm they have either wiped or removed and destroyed the hard drive before they can continue testing.
This information is also given on the audit report sent to our client once all the equipment has been tested and acts as confirmation of data removal/destruction.
We can also use CESG approved data wiping software when requested and there is an additional charge per Hard Disc Drive wiped.
