Auditing
Once received at our processing plant in Lingfield, goods are unpacked and loaded on to the test bays for processing. Each individual item is given a unique barcode that remains with that piece of equipment until it has been sold or sent for recycling. Each piece of equipment is tested for functionality and cosmetic condition and graded according to our Condition Codes. At this stage any information contained on hard drives will also be securely wiped.
While the equipment is being tested, information on specification, manufacturer, configuration, serial number, asset number, etc is also logged onto the Asset Processing Database, providing a fully comprehensive equipment audit for our clients.
Equipment that fails the functionality and cosmetic test and that has no remarketing or buy back value will be recycled within the WEEE Directive, BATRRT and RoHS guidelines. We will supply a certificate of recycling at the end of the process to complete your audit trail - this information is useful if your company is applying for, or wishes to keep, ISO 14001 or EMAS accreditation.
Our clients vary in size from small companies to huge corporates, across many industry sectors including manufacturers, private sector companies, PLCs, retailers, local authorities, schools, colleges, universities, waste management companies, government and public sector bodies, NHS trusts, banks and financial institutions and many more.
